Based on a 911 call, two young women went looking for and rescued a young pit bull left to die by the side of the road. The wounds on his body made it clear he had been used as a bait dog in a dog fighting ring. That was a year ago. In today’s episode of Bark Radio, we catch up with Jamie Whitt and that very special pit bull she named Ceasar. Hear about Ceasar’s amputation and recovery, the kindness of strangers, Ian Dunbar’s influence, Canine Good Citizen certification, pack walks, and much more. Meet Ceasar in one of his early videos. Rock on, Jamie and Ceasar! For dogs with special needs, Jamie recommends the doggy ride and Ruffwear life vests. To speed healing from injury or surgery, try EMT gel.
